The children at Holme Community School appreciate music by learning about and listening to the music of great composers and music linked to world events and festivals. We believe that music is a unique and powerful form of communication that can help pupils well being as well as their confidence. Children will learn to listen to and appraise different types of music as well as composing and performing their own pieces. Children in Early Years learn how to play the hand bells, with children in learning how to play recorders, xylophones and ukuleles as they move through school.
